This postcard was Advertisement of 13th Asian Games. The 13th Asian Games were held from December 6 to December 20, 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand. This was the first time that Thailand bid for the event after it shouldered the two postponed hosting rights in 1970 and 1978.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram in Ayutthaya

Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya, Thailand, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. It is one of Ayutthaya's most beautiful temples and a major tourist attraction.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram lies on the west bank of Chao Phraya River, south west of the old city of Ayyuthaya. It is a large compound and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It can be reached by road or by boat.

On February 2007, I went to Ayutthaya with freinds to make merit for 9 temples, it is strongly believe for buddhist that if we can make it 9 temples visit in one day will bring us extra luck for that year.

I bought these cards myself, want to keep it as my blank card collection.

Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Bangkok

On the same day I visited Temple of Dawn, I also went to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It has Thai common name in short as Wat Phra Kaew. It is also generally known to the Thais as Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, is perhaps the main attraction. This is Thailand's most important and sacred temple, so you're expected to act with due respect inside it.
